Just leave it, After I got my header. I noticed a small change in performance. It sounds madstylez now cuz I have a whole system in there. Extractor all the way to the back with a hi-flow cat and I haven't noticed that much difference to the stock setup that I had. I think headers will make a difference if you do all kinds of internal work but until then, its all sound to me.

well man...take a look at my header how to here. check it all out, and see if you think it's somethin you can do or think is worth it...um...you will get a tiny bit of power, in the mid-RPM range, and a lot more flow...so much that if you removed a resonator, you'll need to put one back on...but..check it out man...it's not too bad, and if you are aight at workin on stuf, you'll be straight. i say go for it man. it's one more mod that'll help you on the way to gettin a little somethin outta the engine. the more mods, the more potential, and the more that other things such as S-AFC's and what not will make a difference. gotta remember that...you're constantly building up. wink.gif

Hey, but what header (what is in your How-to article foto) looks exactly the same as mine? How can this be?

Hey Doggy,
Am I right in thinking that, in your photo, that's an original header with the heatshield removed?

BTW: Mynzeyes "header how to" method using a 7AFE Corolla header is the only way us 7AFE'rs can go. (A 7AFE header specifically for a Celica does not exist).
...that is unless you know someone that can make one to measure.

I have come to the conclusion that the header is the last thing I'll do.
Cost / Gains = minimal.
Let's face it, japonese technolgy aint bad.

The major restriction on our cars is the catalytic converter (resonator), so change that and add a decent muffler or get a full cat-back system.

I would like a Greddy SP cat-back system but I'd have to find it first and then I'd have to import from the States and this will probably cost me way too much €€€€'s, so I've been looking around here in Europe to see what's available. (Not a great deal).

The only cat-back system available here is made by Supersprint...and it aint bad, by the looks of it, figures, etc.., it has better hp gains than the Greddy.

Another option may be to just buy the Supersprint cat. and then add a muffler (UK - Mongoose or German - Remus).

Yes, it is the original header with the heatshield removed.

Man, dont even think about REMUS, no sport sound at all, no gain, no nothing... I had one... Now he is quietly sleeping in my garage darkest corner...

Now i'm working on totaly custom strait-tru exhaust system. Everythin will be made by my self. So soon (after new year) i'll post a topic about how it looks, and how my car perfomance changed.
