Well after running across a great deal a few weeks ago I decided to go for it - I bought a second car and added one more of my favorite Toyotas to the collection.

So here it is....1986 Toyota MR2 AW11 chassis, 4AGE engine with 87,000 original miles. Quite the fun and quick car. smile.gif

Not a replacement for the Celica by any means, but it'll be a VERY fun little project for me to get my hands dirty on and will become my reliable daily driver when the Celica is under the knife. But for now, I have to get some sleep so I can wake up early to get new brakes on it.

I seriously have a love affair for classic Toyota.

Sorry, I don't think I'll have it ready for DWG. I need to replace some parts, get it registered, insured, and then I'll be able to take it out legally. smile.gif

I'm glad I found this car though, it would've ended up destroyed in a field had I not bought it.

Sweet find! Always loved older Toys

MK1.5 seems overkill.. lol We have some MKI locals here with 300hp MKI.5, 7AGE MKI (use to anyways..) 6spMKI, 143whp GZE MKI

those things are so light.. the power given by a 20V, GZE, or even a 7AGE is plenty

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the positive remarks!

I know alot of people just see them and discard it as being some "80's piece of crap" or something, but really its been one of my favorite cars for a loooong time. wink.gif Finally, I got my hands on one for a great price.

I've got plenty of work in store for it, maybe I'll throw in some work-in-progress write ups as I go?

There's a guy in my town who owns a jewelry store that owns a mint 86 AW11. I was at Exxon picking up some cigars and he pulled up to the pump. I ended up talking to this guy for like 10 mins. He's the original owner, he bought it brand new in 86... It's bright white, chrome wheels, chrome side vents, and he showed me the engine, all chromed up... It was nice. He had the interior retooled in leather and in the headrests was the jewelry stores logo embroidered. This thing was awesome.

hey, nice mod does it come in hetero?

Need parts? I'm parting out a '94 ST
