well, not sure, all I know is that I only gained almost 4000 miles for the whole year. Not much gas spent I guess. I have 5 cars total.

QUOTE(recycle @ Jul 27, 2006 - 8:28 AM) i post some time ago about my mpg it was if i remember correct 17 mpg i need tuning ha ha ha, or a lighter foot on the accelerator depends on how i drive, 1 - balls to the wall keeping the turbo spooling, 17mpg, grin factor +200, so who cares about MPG 2 - sat in traffic, using it on the motorway for work, sticking to the 70mph speed limit, change gear at 3000 rev's in 1st to 4th, about 25 - 28, grin factor -10, bordom factor -200, licence not getting any more points or a speeding ban, +20 value |

We should all be proud to get close to 25-35 MPG...slowing down global warming. We need E85 fuel out here fast! I will get my car adjusted to run on that fuel in a heartbeat! I heard the gas mileage is 30% less, but the environment is what counts.

I do a lot of city driving, and a little highway, but as we Washingtonians know... Highway driving IS city driving. Stop. Go. Stop. Go. I get between 28-30MPG

last time i calculated it was about 35+mpg. i drive about 45miles round trip to work everyday, and about 40 of those are on the highway. plus the ST and 5speed. not bad for a car with over 150k miles.

I wrang 32 MPG once out of our 99 right after we got it. Then I learned how hard to need to push it to just get into NJ traffic.
I just filled up the tank in the car after the swap today and without issues causing gas loss. Average of 25 mpg with mostly city driving, and a lot of semi-spirited sprints. -------------------- |

in the winter time i average about 34 mpg
right now i'm getting about 36 mpg 37 mpg was my best all 87 octane, one advantage of having a slow, underpowered 1.8 st you guys should try a fuel/oil additive called MYSTERY OIL. i add about 1/2 a quart to my oil whenever changed, and maybe a 1/4 quart or more to my gas whenever i fill up. it cleans, reconditions, and keeps your engine running great. |
