New Intake Manifold, Remove Vac Lines Options

So, hypatheticly, if I wanted a new intake manifold for my car, how would I go about it? I have looked into the ITBs, but that whole thing scares me a bit. I know I won't be getting big hp gains or anything, that's not what this is about. I'm trying to learn everything I can so when I get a car that's really worth it (or motor), I'll know what I'm doing. So, for a new intake manifold, what all would I need besides the basic gaskets and junk?

Good deal, now I know how to get the parts. Now all I need to know is how to remove the vac system, or set up some kind of other system for it.

i have seen "vacume plenums" kinda like just a distribution center for all your vac sources, so that you only need to feed one thing from the intake mani, and the rest of your vac operated systems are ran off the plenum.
