Im thinking of gettin a soarer from japan, factory twin turbo, and 5spd they are cheap too. its ironic how a stock SC300s are worth more than a soarer thats got more into it. Good luck finding one with a stick... its actually pretty easy to find. if you go on www.j-specimports.ca there are like 5 or 6 of them stick tt. My buddy is looking for one for me now. coil overs, FMIC, some gauges, seat (drivers side only), rollcage, 5 spd, steeringwheel, and im gettin him to track down some Advan Supersport rims for it. Best part of it, since my buddy is running this business, he is gettin me the car at the cost it takes to bring it here. Aka, no mark up. gotta love connections QUOTE(Dr_Tweak @ Jul 14, 2006 - 8:50 PM) QUOTE(saleeka @ Jul 14, 2006 - 10:26 PM) what did that come in? the Century? /\ exactly the oppisite is true... Most Soarers produced weren't even the 2.5GT or GT-L models, and they were the only ones you could even get a manual transmission in (GT-L manual discontinued in 96, leaving the stripper 2.5GT as the only way to get a stick)... From what I can collect, just over 8,000 of the above mentioned models were produced, so even *if* half made had sticks, you are still looking at only 4,000 cars... Taking into consideration that most people in japan don't know how to drive sticks, and as a whole not many sticks are sold in japan (even the mk IV Supra's top dog model, the GZ, only came in auto form!) makes me believe that the MT tranny was installed in mabey 30%, at best... pretty rare, in my book

the us sc300 is not TOO hard to find in manual as it is the bottom of the line soarer.
the sc400 is the top of the line with no manuals the twin turbo did come in manual but is rare, it was kept manual through the same duration we saw here(i believe, i at least know it didn't stop mid 90s). those ca cars aren't bad, and at a good price too, just buying and selling those legally on the forums would be a big money maker, lol. i'd have to see someone buy from them first in the US. Chanh, if you go 2jz you better go >600hp -------------------- |
