I can't resist any more. I use to think it wasn't a good idea to turbo the 5sfe. Then I thought it just wasn't for me. I've been doing a lot of research these past few weeks, and I think I'm ready to say, "I'm going to try for a turbo." I've been doing some hunting on mr2oc, and supramania for the parts I need. Contrary to the sticky, you can't exactly find a ct26 for almost free. I think I have found one though. I have 3 things going at this point. 1. I could get my metro up and running and build it all motor which I found out I can push around 120-130whp for under a grand. 2. I could put a turbo set-up on the Celica. 3. I can stick with the NA, and shave/polish/port head to increase compression to around 10.5 or maybe even 11:1, and get rather megasquirt (if I can find cheap) or SAFC2 and sway bars and springs.

turbo the metro, the 1.3L suzuki engine can push 200-230whp with good tuning. theres alot of support for the suzuki swift, you can swap in some GTI parts and probably GTI suspension, it'll go quick and turn well.

I seen a guy actually break 300hp with the 1.3. I don't think I'll be doing much to the Metro though. Dad says it'll be to much pain to mess with another car and I need to just concentrate on what I've got. That sounds like, "Put a turbo on the Celica." to me. I'll liston to him too.

EDIT: I'm going turbo, and I'd like help finding parts. If a moderater wants to send this to the FI forum, I'd appreciate it.

lol, nope. I'm just trying to get the best info from the horses mouth. Since those stickys were writen, there have been updates. I can read the stickies all day, but it's hard to keep up on the 5sfte info. Right now, I know I need 315cc 7mge injectors, a ct26, a 2nd gen 3sgte manifold, intercooler piping, boost controler or blow off valve, boost gauge, 3sgte oil pan, oil relocation kit, exhaust temp gauge, and intercooler. That's just what I can remember off the top of my head.

You have to have a wideband and tuning device? What do you mean tuning device, like Megasquirt? If that's the case, I've got to stick to that NA thing for awhile. I don't have the cash to go after that. I'm thinking about just doing a nice job on suspension for now anyway.
