Meaning that i have not seen this engine in the forums(or i'm just looking in the wrong places).

I know its a 3S-GE in my ST202, and i want to install an air intake to replace the box filter. But when i look online, the options that i have are for the 1.8L or the 2.2L. it also makes it difficult to locate information on parts such as spark plug wires, porting information, etc.

I apologize in advance if its a "duh!" question. kindasad.gif

thanks.

Sorry guys. it'll have to wait until i figure out how to add pics.

since the 3s was never sold in the us it's hard to find parts for it online and if you do they're often kinda pricy, there are parts out there though, try searching on a european or asian site and you'll prolly find more stuff for your engine.
as for filters, they're pretty much universal, think our diameter is 76mm. but if you want a complete cold-air you'll have to search around a bit

3SGE <3

GE-Head = boost happy.

stay away from 5SFE 2.2L , lots of low end torque, but just a silly engine in most respects.

so what is the difference between this engine and the S-I, S-II, S-III, and GT? I know that the GT-4 has a turbo, but what about the rest?

S-III has a Beams 3S-GE with VVTI putting out 197 bhp.
S-II is the normal 3S-GE engine.
Dont know about the S-I tho.

GT in the USA/Canada/Australia is the 2.2l 5S-FE engine where in de rest of the world its the 3S-GE engine which was fitted. ST is the same all round the world
