I cant seem to catch a break these days, first i get scammed on paypal, then i break my turbo, and now this morninng i wake up to my mom screaming out her window to some guy trying to steal my car. I got up and my dad did too but at that point he jumped into a red blazer and took off. they tried to start the car but i locked my steering wheel so all they did was f-up the keyhole so i cant start it. then they tried to steal my subs but the box was too big to fit through the back seat and the lever that pops the trunk from the inside is completey missing ( i think the previous owner broke it or took it off) so the only way to open the trunk is with a key. but they broke the keyhole too! luckly all they stole was my bass controller and my lugnut lock (got to get new ones or theyll take my rims next time) Luckly they left my radio and my gauges alone but they made a mess of my glove compartment. anyway just ranting now.

Is there anything i need to know about taking off the switch for the ignition? I just want to have an idea so i dont screw it up or wonder why the car wont start. Also, will a st185 switch work? if i cant find a 6th gen?

here are some pics.

aww sorry to hear what happened frown.gif . When mine was broken, they broke the whole ignition cylinder off frown.gif , looks like you just have to replace the lock part inside of it. If you cant find an ignition for your car, im not sure if it would fit, but i should have an extra ST185 ignition for you. smile.gif

Ugh, I hate people. This has to be the one downside of owning a nice car: everybody wants a piece...

thanks batman, and everyone else as well. But after a little playing around with the key i got it to work. He must have just slightly bent one of the teeth that the teeth of the key ride on. It works now but i had to go to toyota today to get a new trunk keyhole.

thanks again guy!
