Alright guys, I finally got my 7afte down the 1/4 mile!

Run 1: 15.62 mad.gif
Run 2: 14.52 kindasad.gif
Run 3: 13.72 (with perfect light) OH YEAH!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

After my first run I was damn near rolling the car over a cliff after all the $$$ and sweat I put into the setup. Second run, i was happy. Third, this smily face biggrin.gif has nothing on what my face looked like.

timeslip.

just to put things into perspective for you, you are currently trying to say that you ran a better time than jeff (13.9 , dynod at 245hp) and manny (14.1 i think is his lowest.. who dynod at like 235 whp?) with a 7afte.

I think its possible with drag radials and a very good run. The only problem is that he put in parenthesis that he hit a perfect light (as if to suggest thats why his time was so good). Reaction time has nothing to do with quarter mile time. Although I won't, I tempted to call:

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

i wouldn't say impossible....but YES a timeslip MUST accompany any claimed 1/4 time

and #2) get rid of that 12:1 FMU and get an SAFCII or sumthing to that nature the FMU is probably killing you

I have timeslips in my friends truck from track, I will post them tomorrow.

And just to let you no believers know this is on a freshly rebuilt engine, with nothing but shaved cyro-ceremic coated STOCK CAST pistons, original crank and rods running 14 psi and for the run i put my 7mge injectors in (too rich other wise), and huge turbo. The only thing I have done is a dramtic weight reduction and some very fine tuning. This car is my toy and am very proud of it now.

I have no clue what hp im running because there is nothing in my town but a drag strip (no dino that i know of).

I'll try to get some pics of my car and put on here when I put my slips on tomorrow.

In short I was skeptable of the 7afte but im pretty pleased with the outcome!

I do run with apexi safc 2 (check profile), the fmu actually helps only with raising fuel pressure under boost, i have removed this before and seems to stop pulling REALLY hard around 5700 or so, put it back on and BAM fixed, does seemt to have a weird pull at midrange with it on though????? answer that?>

the parenthesis were because it is very hard to hit a perfect light dude. I assume that you have never dragged the trail before?????

Never drag raced. Been to a few though wink.gif

You will notice that I said your time is possible. I think it would be VERY cool if a 7afte hit 13's. Once you post a video I will be the first in line congratulating you. Forgive the board for being skeptical but we get a few people now and then that post complete BS which provides inaccurrate information for everyone considering these types of mods. As such, we are really just doing a public service in demanding proof. No offense intended.
