I ordered a jap spec 95 st205 3sgte a couple day's ago after saving up for a very long time. Then I ordered a couple of parts that I was told I needed, this is what I got.
complete 3sgte- $3266.48
xs power downpipe- $153.19
Apexi intake kit- $177.82
Walbro 255lph supra n/a fuel pump- $116.68
Act 4 pad clutch kit- $300.25
So far I am at $3897.73
I know that I need a gt throwout bearing, gt shift linkage, gt axles, gt motor mounts, gt axle support, gt axle bearing bracket, gt release fork, gt transmission, gt water pump, timing belt, and some new gaskets.
For those that have done a 3sgte swap, what else do I need other then an exhaust??? Also, how much would you predict that I will spend on the swap if I get all new parts? The guy doing the swap gets toyota parts at a discount, so I am hoping that I can come out lower then I think. Oh, I also ordered an ecu wiring diagram that was about $50.

youll need to order all the 205 matinence parts, the only place in the USA that stocks them is toyotaworld, and the parts they DO stock are minimal.
throw away the XS dp, and buy a real one.
wiring.
gauges.
tune up items (wires, cap , rotor, plugs)
be prepared to spend money in places you never thought you would.

If you seach for posts by me with the word "Checklist" you'll see a 3SGTE swap checklist that I put together, it's pretty thorough.

agreed on everything other than the xs power downpipe, you can reinforce it easily like defjeph and others have, also you you buy the downpipe mounting bracket youll have even less chance of failure smile.gif
