94 Supra for $8000 ... strange? Options

So was on autotrader.ca and I found a 94 Supra for $8000 and I thought that was a typo. I emailed the guy and he said the car is in Florida and he would need to ship it to Canada. I've been seeing a lot of stories of cars being flooded by the hurricanes and being resold .... could this be one. I think it's too good to be true, here's some pics 94 Supra

Mods to be performed shortly is a rebuilt tranny by Boostlogic with a higher stall, upgraded fuel system and tuned using AEM EMS and accompanying electronics. The best quartermile run on oem twins(*not* current T67 single turbo setup) was a 12.14 @ 118.70mph with a 1.89 60ft on stock stall on 18" Nitto 555 Extreme ZR's with full interior + spare and tools. However when properly the current T67 single turbo setup should be good for low 10's on the quarter with 600+rwhp at high boost. More details and pics available at johnson-msupra74@msn.com. there was a twin turbo supra around me wit a bunch of motor mods, court ordered it to be sold for 4k

there was also an evo for like 5500 once again, court ordered

DONT DO IT.

Theres about a thousand scams at any given time out there on MKIV 93-98 Supras, god only knows how many gullable young kids have been lured into them. :thumbdown:

Honestly, the only way to buy a Supra is to look at it in person or outsmart the scammer by demanding certain shots, VIN number for Carfax, or actually drive the car, or buy it from a reputable site like SupraTrader.com from somebody ONLY after you've driven it or checked it out well. If you see the price is anything below like 11 grand, its probably fake or a scam.

With things like this its always buyer beware.....and if it sounds too good to be true then I can assure you it is. Otherwise, we'd all be selling our cars and buying Supras instead.
