In my search for a decent yet affordable boost gauge I've come across Tein's Defi brand "Blue Racer" series... Now the name sounds ultra ricey but it's from a good company and the the gauges are all electronic so I know they'll always be accurate. The only problem is they won't be available 'til august which means I probably won't have mine until early september... by then I'll be 3S powered and boosting. What should I do in the mean time? Any one want to lend me their old mechanical boost gauge until then?

Check 'em out:
http://www.tein.com/defi/blue_racer.html

And check out the movie that shows the startup and shutdown of the gauges:

They range from $128-235. The boost gauge will be $192.

About the VDO gauges, are they any good? I've never heard of them and for $30 I'd imagine I wouldn't even be getting autometer quality.

vdo is 10x better than autometer, they are simple and affordable gauges but are pretty much perfect in terms of quality, they just arent all flashy wink.gif

vdo is more popular with ze germans, i know dan and my friend both have the same boost gauge as me and have never really had problems with it. lagos also has a vdo as a backup or something

Wow, I really like those Tein guages. That might be the kind I will want to get for my project. Guess I should start researching them.

Get the autometers... they work and there not really expensive. The greddy, hks, blitz and all the other popular tuner companies charge 100 + for boost gauges ehhh.... everyone wants them but honestly there just way too expensive for a gauge.

I don't mind paying for the accuracy and reliability of an electronic gauge. Autometer's electronic gauges are just expensive as every other company's. Plus, they don't have the best track record. I've heard of at least two people on this site that have had trouble with their mechanical Autometer gauges.

Go buy some at a store, and keep the receipt. Then return it after you're done =D August is only a few days away.

Those are beautiful gauges. If I had money growing out of my ears I'd definately buy a set......but I don't. Autometer it is. wink.gif
