I haven't done alot of searching but some and t appears that the engine to swap in is a 3sgte... but for some of us we don't have the time nor $$ to do this. So my question is can the 5sfe just drop in to our 7afe mounts and such along with the wiring? I'm just throwing this out there and any info will be greatly appreciated. This may have been covered in a previous topic but I Haven't seen any talks about it. Thank you,

By that time... the extra amount of work is nearly the same as swapping in a 3SGE or 3SGTE. A 4AGE or 4AGZE will actually be easier than a 5SFE... except a 5SFE might wire up a little easier. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

Thanks for the input, I guess i'm going to stick to the few bolt-on engine parts and custom exhaust jobs i hear about here. Thanks again

I would seriously consider a 4AGE silvertop. They are pretty cheap and not hard to swap.

for the $$ amount of the swap, you could've turboed your 7afe already, but if your engine is dead and you need a new engine, then i would agree with the doc

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but what other than the motor mounts and tranny would have to be changed in order to drop a 3S-GTE into a 94' ST? thanks.

From what i can think of, motor mounts, Transmission, axels, power steering res., wiring, ECU, ummm thats all I can think of. for an ST I believe any "A" series engine is better than an "S" series in terms of ease. Basically everything is the same except the wiring... i think.. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
