Hey whats up Doau, Hows that turbo working anyway? It was intended to go on my civic, but ended up selling the car and parted all the turbo parts I worked so hard to get. BTW when are you going to Rock Falls? Since school is almost over I'm going to be ready to work my arse off to get that swap done before next semester. Oh I'll be running stock if I go.

yo, Will, its going good man, i'm gunna be running my GT with headers, and stage two clutch at the track. hopefully i'll break into the 15's cuz last time i ran i hit a 16.4 stock. thats with a .002 reaction time too. haha. well, i'll be going to St. Paul on sat the 14th to my bros house then i'll be heading out on sun the 15th like early. haha. not too sure but i'll be there on opening day. hopeing to see more 6g's this time. oh yea if i get my 3s powered rolla running in time i might bring that to the track as well. but well see. Oh and as for the turbo i ended up selling the turbo to my buddy and he put it on his civic now. I was suppose to get a t3/t4 but then the guy ended up keeping it so now i'm looking for another t3/t4.

Doua, I know I went down to your uncles shop about the 3s swap, but now I am actually thinking about a 5s build for boost. I've been thinking a lot and I'm going to Mankato for Automotive Engineering. Even though engineering is irrelevant to the build, but how much do you think it would cost for the 5s build?

Okay, any help from you turbo guys would greatly be appreciated. I am closing in on 200,000 miles on the 5s now. I know I can always do a 3s swap, but don't want to jump on the 3s bandwagon. Some of you might say just go to the junkyard and get a low mileage 5s, but what about rebuilding the 5s? What parts do I need for the motor to run about 10 psi daily? such as pistons, cams, rods ect. Again any help would greatly be appreciated.

to rebuild a 5s, what are you planning to do??? a 5sfte??? or a hybrid??? 5sfte you will need some parts from the 3s such as 2bar map sensor, oil return lines, the turbo (of course), i think the oil pump(not sure),pistons and rods, and the intake manifold(but you could run the 5s too). I think thats it.

Yeah the 5sfte. I am really concerned about the high mileage on the motor and I just wanted to know what to replace internally to better suit the turbo. Are you sure all thats needed are pistons and rods?

to boost 10psi..yes..but to be on the safe side -> pistons, rods, cam shaft, cam gears, retainers, valves, valve springs, and get all new seals, gaskets, and rings. That should do the job.

Do a comp test on your motor. Get new gaskets and seals, basically replace everything rubber. Get it up to par on maintenance. Then your good.

Pressure2 5SFTE GOD!

Running like 270 hp and 310tq IIRC on stock Internals!

3SGTE Exhaust Manifold
3SGTE CT-26 dual
3SGTE Down pipe
3SGTE Oil pan
3SGTE Oil drain line
3SGTE 2Bar MAP Sensor
Then other stuff like fittings and crap...

I've decided to go the 5sfte route because my motor only has 60,000 miles on it.

Man you're lucky. I'm stuck with a piece of crap 200,000 mile motor. I was thinking about oprdering one of those rebuild kits that come with pistons, seals and all that stuff. The only thing that I am afraid of is that it won't do as well, because its oem stuff. I figured order the kit and get low comp. pistons. I'm not looking for 300 horses, I just want around 240.

Yes, I know i'd probably be sick of a 240 horse power car after a while, but I just want to feel the boost. It's been awhile since I've felt boost. Even having 200 horses will satisfy me as of right now as long as I cam hear the turbo spool up.

rjbibeau, I'm having Boost Factory to do me my intercooler pipings. $350 for Alumunized Steel for the same exact setup as Pressure2. I showed him some pics and he can do it. Very few silicone couplers and such. I've seen his work and they're pretty good.

I might have him make me all aluminum which will be more.

Stainless steel for my 3" Turboback with 70/120 HKS Carbon Ti. He won't quote on that until he looks at my car.

Very nice and patient guy.
