first drain the tranny lube from transmission. take off the spindle nut with either an impact or cheater bar. it's a 32mm socket. then take off the spindle nut retainer and cotter pin. remove the 3 lower ball joint nuts and bolts. pry off lower control arm from ball joint. swing suspension hub out of the way so the cv shaft can be removed from the hub. then the axle will have to be removed with a pry bar from the tranny this is tricky but keep doing it....the passenger side is easier for some reason. then clean the old cv axle seal inside the tranny. now would be a good time to put a new one in. and reverse the order when putting the new one in. for whatever reason do not start the car when the axles are out my buddy f'ed his mazda 3 when he did this..put a hole right through the tranny.

alright sweet thanks! could i possibly do this in a day? that would be amazing if so. Yea we should have a few meets guys, no matter if its cold, Its minnesota don't expect anything less of the weather. lol

you could have both axles done in no more than 2.5 hours.

I still need to find 2 seals for end of the axles, I think I'll check Napa or something cause Checker never carries anything useful. Besides finding out that I need new rotors and pads, everything is going well without the parts I need! Can anyone recommend some nice rotors that are only grooved and nice to look at?

No idea, but I do see a few Celi's on the way to school in Mpls once in a while. They should definitely join this site so we can get a bigger meet going. Is everyone's car working yet? I was just filling my tranny with new fluid and saw that my new oil seal on the CV is not the right fit for keeping the oil in. So now I'm gonna have to deal with that damn snap ring again and pull everything apart. Words can't explain how frustrated I am.

I'm gonna go to a couple more auto body shops and call a couple of friends to see if I can get it repaired cheaper if its gonna cost to much in the end I'll just sell it.

Well, its sad you might have to let it go due to a dumb hit and run. I say if you love your celi spend the money on it and keep it.

most definitely keep it and fix it. Nothing will last as long as these cars do, they are very hardy machines. The only time I even considered selling my old Celi, was when it got totaled. Keep it
