Car Cleaning, What is your lineup? Options

I was tired of not being able to find all of my cleaning stuff so I went out today and bought a whole new lineup. Pretty much everything is Meguiars so I am hoping to get a good result. Here is a pic of what I have. I dont have soap because the water pressure at my house is messed up so I take it to the self washes around my area then take it home to wax it and everything.


What does everybody else use? Has anybody ever tried the Meguiars 3 step wax thing? I was thinking about getting it but want good feedback on it to justify spending that much money lol

i used the tech wax for a good while now and i love it..ijust bought the the eagle one micro wax or somthin like that.and hoping for good results

my dad uses the meguiars 3 step wax thing on his lincoln and it looks good. it really makes the color show and not dull like some waxes do. he uses it on all his cars and im about to do it on my farm truck.(that should be the ultimate test)lol that truck hasnt been washed for like 3 years and never been waxed for about 9 years.

Really..i cant get that stuff to work for anything..it doesnt even dry to a hase..i liked the idea of it being able to touch rubber cus our car do a a bit on them and somtime i accidenlty get wax on it..but i could just never seem to wait long enough for it to dry..igave it like an hour and then i just wiped it off and used my tech wax..if it work..give me the secrete cuz i cant get it to work..or maby i just have a bad bottle.

get a nice clean hand towel, make sure there isnt any grass or pebbles in it, spray on the ICE, one wipe in one direction, flip the towel and one wipe in the other direction. Wash the car first obviously, but then dry it off w/ towels before applying the ICE, it doesnt set right when there is water on it.

ive been trying a lot of products lately for washing, but weirdly the best reults are from the dishwasher

I've used the last two steps from Meguiar's three step system and been happy with the results. I just used the Crystal polish (step two) about a week ago on my car since I can't wax it yet.

The last time I waxed my car I used the liquid NXT tech wax and that yielded a nice finish as well.

I've been happy with everything I have from Meguiar's.

i jsut use a basic car cleaning soap, wash it multiple times w/ that. then dry it off. then i jsut use the good ol' turtle wax, and that works jsut fine.

It took me about 3 horus to wash the car today and it looks great! There were a lot of spots where the paint still looked "dirty" tho. This led me to the thought of claying my car. I read that it can get all the stuff that is "stuck" to your paint. Has anybody clayed their car?

i use the mequires all the time and swear by it. make sure you use all three stages, use clean cloths all the time etc etc etc and it should look schweet

i use a good spray tire shine, STP son of a gun. (but havent used many for comparison)

ok I have personally used many many a car product in search of the best washes and waxes. I have a black celi and those of you that have one, feel me when i say that they suck to keep clean. A recent consumer report turned me on to a very inconspicous wax king. Black Magic Liquid wax is the best wax I have ever used. I do also love the maguire's NXT but it doesnt last very long. The black magic has been on my car for a month and a half and I still have a real nice shine to it. It goes on real easy, comes off easy and stays crystal for a long time. As for wash, maguires gold class wash does it for me! my 2 cents

edit: btw, dishwashing liquid is no good for your car paint. Its all right every once in a while, just to clear the canvas but using it often will f with your paint

so i went out and saw the NXT and the gold class, i bought the gold class...why, well cause 16 bucks on wax seemed a lil high. ill tell yall what i think, im comparing it to standard turtle wax.

What do people use to clean their car before they wax it instead of dish soap?

I've used a clay bar and I'm convinced it was crafted by a wizard because its simply amazing. blemishes, swirl marks and any other imperfections get wiped away from it. Use the clay bar, then a good polish, I've used a couple polishers from mequiars like scratch X, but the best pre-wax polisher I've used is called Safe cut, made by the wax shop. If you go clay bar, safe cut, then wax (I'm currently using the gold class but i wish i had spent the extra 10 bucks on NXT, because my cars never looked as good as when i NXT'd it), and your car will be crystal clean and super shiny.

Also I've been using the absorber to dry my car for about 6 months now, It's the best chamois I've ever owned.

so i used the gold wax....it works as well as the much cheaper origonal turtle wax...so i wasnt to satisfied...its not bad...but i coulda saved 5 bucks and gotten the same results.

omg! you have all the same products i have. the only thing is i use Griots clay bar and speed shine it works like a charm. oh and my absorber is purple lol
