Yeah I was kind of surprised too. They have a +48 offset, so I'm not sure if they'd fit.

I know they make the big 17x8's in subbie offset... which looks crappily tucked on celicas... but 16x8... hmm...

mind linking it? I've been looking for some good 16's for a while now and would roll 16x8's... even in a subbie offset.

This is the only rota slipstream-esque wheel in 16 that has 5x100...

Rotas are great wheels for the money. I know a few people with WRX's that love them, great customer service also.

The best solution to fix the offset issues are to use a spacer of a very high quality, jgreening is using Rotas with a +48 offset and he did just this. If he can push just shy of 300whp on those wheels with spacers i'm sure we'd be fine, I know alot of people frown at the use of spacers, but unless your lugnuts barely have any bite you'll be fine.

16x8 would be a great wheel for our cars, but if your car is aggresively lowered you might need those spacers to avoid rubbing due to the offset.

naww... 48mm offset is gonna be tucked in pretty good. I just called rota and they said they'll give me a call back after checking on their inventory and suppliers. Ha... =[

I've also dealt with subydude before... and he doesn't carry the 16's slipstreams in 5x100... but he does list them as a rota dealer.

Anyone know of a good 16x8 with the "proper" offset?

uhh let me rephrase that:
Where can I get these stats in a wheel.
-16x8
-not tucked in firment with 225x45x16
-light (nothing over 16lb)
-5 spoke (SSIII look alike ish)

I have 5Zigen rims with a +48 offset. 15mm spacers in front and 20mm spacers in the rear. Still a bit inside the wheelwell but I dont mind. Last 2 photo's in my profile are without the spacers. Not pushing 300 whp but I can assure you that the spacers are very good (H&R DRS Serie). If your gonna put on a spacers bigger then 5-10mm get extended lugs.

So I had my buddy, who's a rota supplier call and order 16x8 slipstreams in 48mm offset in 5x100 and we were told those wheels are currently awaiting production and can be put on pre-order...

Heheh... =[ Woulda been nice track wheels...

on a side note... they do have the 17's and 18's avail for immediate shipping...

same wheel specs we've all been looking at... but so far my only answers from rota were none and a "pre-order" "in production" status...

and... for the most part... if the wheel is something like 40-48mm offset... its design is directed toward the subbie people. Those cars are designed for such high offsets, while the Celica looks best with something like 30-32mm offset... that's over half and inch worth of tuck on a 48mm offset wheel versus a 30-32mm offset wheel.
