found this while browsing for celica stuff... I would buy it, but I've already found my 6th-gen frown.gif
kinda wondering why it's so cheap though... maybe someone close could take a look at it...

Wow. If that's legit it could be a smoking deal, color be damned.

yeah.. seems too good to be true.. if it is a good swap... 2800 would be just for the clip.. plus install prices... and its a 98 car.. seems low to me.. and i'm close enough to consider..

Ya that sounds like a swap gone wrong that has led to a blown motor, or a motor ready to blow.

Car also needs a GT4 front bumper since now there is a nice gap between hood+bumper.

if the right person picks it up though, for that price and the cost of a rebuild, stock or higher performance parts; your still gona be ahead of the game. (or cost to buy the celica, buy the clip, 2 removals, one install, harness assuming this one is correct, etc.....

i'd deff consider if it was local, even if i let it sit in my driveway for a year. he'll i already had mine sitting long enough haha (thinks back to the 7afte days..)

does not sound like a good deal at all 3700 is not cheap, probalby has a 2-3 gen 3s in it that was poorly installed and or damaged while installed. even if it was running decent its not that great of a deal, need more info like exactly what whent into it, probably 5s clutch/tranny, and all stock parts.

yeah, i agree with the user on top, maybe its damaged, also he doesnt gives lots of descriptions,
may be it has thousands of miles on that motor, i think more pics and a lot more info would be great but i wouldnt buy it, its not the right price for that car with those descriptions. wink.gif

I'd get it just for the super rare color (some may not like it, but I like being different). Then take the engine out, sell what I could off of it, then redo the swap with a different engine, probably a 3sge in my case.
