a long time ago i got a set of 10s with an amp for very cheap. i had them in the car for a while, and while i did like having subs, i hated the big 50lb box taking up all my trunk space. so i decied to make my own floor mount. it was very easy to do and the subs ended up sounding pretty good. took a lot of tweaking with the eq to get everything to sound just right, but i think in the end they ended up working out really weel. check it out.

Good idea...but what if you need to put things in the trunk...what is protecting the actual sub-woofer, since it appears to be open to the elements kindasad.gif

im going to get some speaker grills for them. that way i can put something there if i need to .

got to love ebay. i went to a local car audio place and they wanted 25bucks each for a grill. what a ripp off. 15bucks shipped for 2 10in steel grills! smile.gif

tahts pretty sweet. custom. i got two 12's in my trunk, w/ the box, but i got a smaller box than most ppl have. so its not all that heavy, and dont take up to much room...but you should deff get some GrillZZZ

IMO if you are going to have subs, get something nice (you get what you pay for) because space is a precious thing to give up, especially if grills are going to be more than the subs
