are the lights on and just not getting dimmed?
or are they not coming on at all?

if it's the former i'd check the fuses, i guess. maybe check other lights: turn signals, high-beam, e-brake, door courtesy lights, and ignition light, maybe dome light too. see what they all do.

Well, all fuses are go...this is really weird.

The problem is, i cannot change the brightness of the gauges...(i.e. i cannot dim/brighten them)...but yes, the gauge lights work...just not the dimmer kindasad.gif

Sounds like the "white green" wire going into the dimmer is grounding itself either in the dimmer switch or before. Also worth noting is the fact that LEDs won't dim the same way as incandescent bulbs do. They will dim slightly and then turn off once a certain voltage is reached. I'd suggest unpluging the dimmer and see if the lights stay on. If they do, you know that the white green wire is grounded somewhere before the dimmer. If they go off you know that it's a problem with the dimmer switch.

P.S. Did you get the LEDs I sent you?

Wait, that car isn't in mint condition at all!!

lol I'm just busting your balls. Electrical problems are frustrating. My windshield wipers stayed on all the time so I had to pull the fuse. Turns out the switch went bad.

Good luck man.

Just looking over this again and thought I'd clarify something. If ANY of the "white green" wires in the wiring diagram I posted are grounded it could cause the dimmer to stop functioning since electricity takes the path of least resistance. So if it still works after you unplug the dimmer it could be any of the "white green" wires you see in the wiring diagram or in J/B NO.3.

if the dimmer knob is unplugged, then no lights will work.
