so, there is a 92 camry SE 4 door at a local dealrship around here, and i've really gotten acustomed to driving a bigger car then the celi thanks to my now totaled accord, and I stumbled across this... It's a 92, 140 thousand miles, dark blue, V6, 4 door, and a stick. the dealership is asking 4800ish, and I'm thinking this could be a decently fun/roomy daily driver. does anybody have experecne with these things? I've never seen a v6 stick camry in person, so I dont know what to expect... If i like it, its in dec. shape, and I can get it for about 4G's, i'll prolly bite what do you all think?

If you are thinking about power, keep in mind that the older V6's do not have as much power as they do today.

If it's a 92 SE, it's also a 5-speed Manual. VERY sought after! But also overpriced @ $4,800.

In 94 when the 1MZFE cam out, you only had an Auto for the V6. '97 saw the return of the V6 5-speed. |

Thats high price.. well its dealership so it will always be high.. Does it have the blue interior? The dash is prone to changing color (badly fading) .. I had a 93 and wow.. ISSUES after ISSUES on it.. the door handle broke a total of 4 times..
If it was a 94-95 Camry SE 2Door.. thats a whole different story.. their sweet and with a 3SGTE.. F*in sweet'R! |

Well, after checking it out, I think it's a decent car, but I agree with you all, its not worth anything more than 3 grand in my eyes... Decent shape inside and out, just a couple iffy rust spots. Kinda stripped in terms of equippment (which suprised me).The engine tranny combo was quite a good suprise, however... That thing is REALLY smooth... You can bounce it off the redline with hardly any vibration, and not much noise. Very refined... Also pulls quite strong trouought the powerband... But it handles like a big old camry.... owell, Kinda cool to see what it was like though

think of it as a 4-door manual.
not really sought after by many people, either someone who's desperate, or an enthusiast is gonna want it...should be a CHEAP car -------------------- |

Rust spots on a Gen 3? Uh oh. Something happened cause that ain't normal. |
