I mounted my box on a mdf board, and then cut the board to fit my hatch area (using the hatch carpet as template). Its snug as balls in there, so snug its hard to get out. O well harder to steal! Ill try and get some pics later

hmmm. mine dont move at all, they are like....stuck, lol. you could always pile up junk on the sides of them, so that they hold in place?

Yeah I used a bungy cord to hold mine still. That works great and is super easy to move or take out if needed.

What I did on alot of customers cars was use velcro strips.

you could use a few strips stuck to the carpet(hook side-sharp side), that would grip the carpet on bottom of the box. then if you are still worried about your carpet moving use some on the corners of your carpet to grip onto you car's trunk/hatch

It hold vary well nor does it requre alot of work/cutting of wood, or excessive weight in your car

fasten a piece of wood that is as long as the width of the boot to the sub box, then have it at the left side/centre/right side depending where you fasten the wood.

if its braced against either side of the boot then it cant move can it?

I just hold the box up against the back seat by some safety wire and attached it to some loop back there. The only draw back is if I take a hard corner, I can hear the wire creek when the music is down way low.
