Supposidly you can screw the s2k antenna dircetly into the 7th gen base. Instead of doing the, glue and crimp technique, shown in the how too.

I'm in NY.

Hit me with a PM or on Aol Instant Messanger:devilsden97

Edit: broke mine the other night....kinked the motorized one at the base. Now it doesnt retract all the way down.

www.car-part.com.

If that doesn't work, get them brand new from the dealer. We are talking peanuts here. Also, you are not very likely to find people on a 6gc board that want to sell products from an S2000 or 7gc. Good luck.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Yes the S2000 antenna threads right into the non power 7th gen base. All you have to do is bend one bracket on the base assembly. The part number for the 7th gen base is 86309-20300, about $40 from the Toyota dealer. I believe the part number for the antenna is 39151-S2H-E01, around $15 on ebay.

When I went to the dealer to buy the antenna base, the guy said that its three
parts, and the main part is long like a tube, and he wanted $100 for all three parts. so I didnt buy it.
While toyota world only wanted $50
is it really three diffrent parts? (no just the base?)

djspike,

You'll only need to buy 2 things. 1. the S2K Black rubber antenna, and 2. the 7th gen tube assembly. Don't get the 7th gen mast confused with the tube. The mast is the actual ugly antenna that we're all complaining about on our cars. The tube is the actual part that holds the antenna and wiring in the sheet metal of the car.

The base you won't need beacause you can just use your existing one on your car. If you're getting confused as to what the base is, it's the silver base/knob where your antenna comes out of on the exterior of the car. If you look below in the pic it's called #4. Ornament and #5 you can also use your existing nut.

Hope that clears everything up for you.

Here's what I'm talking about.

You just need to buy #2, the Tube Assembly at Toyota. I can't remeber what site I did purchase this from. I can't seem to find it, but I'm going to look for my reciepts and hopefully you can still get it for that price that I showed.

Sorry for another bump, but I am interested in the S2K antenna as well.

My antenna motor broke (2 weeks after I had replaced the mast mad.gif ). I drive a 5th gen (93 GT Coupe). Unfortunately, there is some uncertainty over at celicatech.com as to what is needed for the S2K swap.

Could someone confirm whether the same two parts will fit the S2K antenna on a 5th gen as well?

Another vote for a sticky on the part-numbers, or even better, maybe they should be added to the how-to on the "glue method" S2K antenna conversion.

Thanks in advance!

I just did this on my g/f's celica and it is really nice and works great.

If you have a OEM 94-99 power antenna you will have most of the parts to do it. All you need is a s2000 antenna and the 7th gen celica tube assembly. YOU MUST HAVE A OEM POWER ANTENNA THOUGH! You will have to use the under panel mount from your stock antenna instead of the one from the 7th gen antenna tube assembly. You also have the bend the mounting bracket that comes with the new tube assembly. Otherwise its straight foward and takes no more than 30mins to install.

I have a extra oem s2000 antenna and 7th gen celica tube assembly if someone wants to buy... 60$/shipped in the US
