Ive been looking at ads and searching for celicas all over sweden. One of the more interesting is a 1994 GT (175hp) with ac and leather seats, nothing fancy.

What IS fancy, however, is that it has rolled less then 100 000 km (dunno what that is in miles) and he sells it for about $4900. The right side, around the front wheel, is somewhat damaged as he apperently scratched it along a carport. It isnt beautiful, yet not much. And the guy claims hell get it fixed for another 200 bucks if the buyer wishes.

So, unless there is something horrible wrong hidden somewhere, that is $5100 for a nearly stock 1994 GT with less then 100 000 km rolling. As im a total noob i wouldnt know, but to me that sounds like a good deal. (at least here in sweden)

100,000km would be around 62k miles on it. 100km = 62.14 miles. I say it's worth it. I got ripped off mine ST. I bought it for $5000 @ 150,000 mileage. But the whole engine was rebuilt at 120,000.

I'd say it's worth it. and you could probably talk him down a couple hundred. I got my 94 GT for $3300 w/ 144K miles. of course, I immidietly dropped more than $1400 into it to get four new tires, axle boots replaced, wheel alignment, and replace leaking intake with an injen. so I'd say you're getting a really nice deal (my body and paint are in rather poor condition too)

Here is the ad. One of the images shows the damage done by the garageport, but as he said he would have it fixed for an additional 1500 swedish crown (200 usd) it shouldnt be any problems.

So whatya guys think? If i do get the loan through next week, should i go and pick this baby up? (after a closer examination in person of course)

that damage doesn't look too bad. all you really need is a new passenger's side fender and have it paint matched, so $200 USD sounds about right to fix it.

A lttle update:

I finally got in touch with the guy and just yesterday he went into a waterslide and trashed the right side of the car.
According to him, the right door and right front fender will have to be replaced, while the right backside of the car probably can be fixed fairly cheap. Other then that, according to him, the car is in wonderful shape.

He has instantly dropped the price another 10k swedish crowns (about 1400USD) and i suspect ill be able to talk him down further some if i actually go meet him.

On sunday im gonna get a bunch of images of the car and its damages so then ill know if its worth even bothering. Im allready looking through the junkyards for a replacement door and fender, and ill have to check what its gonna cost me to repair the rear side of the car AND a repaint.

Ill keep you updated, but if everything works out as planned, ill have this baby back on the road in notime, looking better then ever =)

its gonna be roughly 3000USD for the car, which is a 1994 GT with leather, AC, ABS, AIRBAGx2 and it has rolled just under 100 000km

ill have to add the cost of a new door, front fender and total repaint of the car, which i dont have total costs for yet, but at least ill get to choose what color i want my car =)

yeah, ive heard how expensive things are in norway...
but then again, ive heard your earn alot more in salary then we do so i guess it evens out =)

I got my 97' ST with 89,000 miles on it for $6,000.

Now, I'm not sure how much it worths over there, but here in So Cal, they seem to be fairly cheap (Compared to the same year Civic, Integras, etc).

Anyway, that's a 94' pre-facelift car... If you're into a lil bit newer age technologies, I think you might as well look for a 98', 99'.

At least you'll get 5 more years of paint on your car...

(Edit: Bought it 2 years ago)

It seems like a pretty good deal to me, given the 3sge and given what is fairly low miles for a 94. 3sge :iluv:
