i couldnt find it to see if i can get some info about resistors and what not. it seems confusing. I think i rather do that then to replace the leds in my cluster and my ac controller.

hi guys,
just thought i would share ...
it is possible to have a very similar and even light spread just using bulbs inside the light cluster, so no need for the matrix led's either,
just replace your normal 3w dash bulbs with 5w parking/sidelight bulbs and u have a nice bright even glow... enjoy......

yup indeedy buddy,
the same size 194 bulbs are used in no plates and sidelights, only they are 5watt instead of the poxy 3watt that are fitted in the clocks, so just replace with the 5 watt and all should be well,
also a little tip for when u do replace them,
paint the domed part of the bulbs with black paint, that helps to spread the light evenly, and u will get the same effect seen on my dials..
oh and these Apexi dials are one of a kind fully custom made for yours truly, and i can say with pride mine is the only car in the UK with these at the moment...lol laugh.gif

and this is what they look like in the daylight..
