Hey guys. Wanted to ask your opinion on one troubling issue with my Celica..

When I’m going below 20mph over bumps, I feel dull Clunk/Knock noise coming from below my feet (and passenger's too). Such noise disappears over 20-25 mph.

Have asked some people about this, but keep getting different opinions. kindasad.gif

When I lifted front side to check brake pads, couple of small pieces of red rubber/foam/plastic material fell off.

My guess is - bump stops.

Another thing is, when I release the clutch roughly (usually on the 2nd gear) I sometimes feel a noise coming from below my feet, sort of a "kick". Feels like something is loose... Or could both noises be cause by same fault???

I'm pretty sure shocks work fine. Was difficult to test tho cos they are very stiff - Super strut suspensions.

Would appreciate any views on this issue. Thanks in advance!

Taras

Bout That.. Possible the rear engine mount has become worn and is allowing the engine and gearbox to move about a little. This would cause some funy knocks. You would have to visually inspect it to see if it was in poor condition or not.

Haven't inspected mine tho, yet... rolleyes.gif
