I wanted to know if anyone has tried to import a GT FOUR. I am starting to look into it, and I know that you need to present the DOT with crash test data from a RHD car. Does anyone know if these tests have been done? I also know that I would have to make it conform to all our emisson standereds, and I am hoping I can use parts from a MR2 turbo to do this. If there is anything I am missing, let me know.

Thanks,

Stew

The year of the car matters too. Also many cars already have DOT stamped on everything, the problem that can arrise is that it is not a current DOT approval number. like the windows on my car say DOT 20 which means they may just be laminated or something. I can look over the car and let you know if you like.

that sucks that you have so many things to modify or whatnot... here, all we have to do is wait for the car to become 15 years old, then add daytime running lights, I think that's it lol

if everything goes right, I'll have my 205 in the fall of '08

ok, so I guess I need to start talking to a RI and see what they charge to do all of the part swaps. I wonder if they would take another celica as a doner car for all the DOT parts?
