Hello I'm new to these forums, I'm set on having a 6G Celica as my [very own] first car. I wanna know the difference between the Celica Coupe and Hatchback.

I'm guessing this is the coupe...?

And this is the hatch?

Sorry if I broke a rule or something, read the Forum Rules and searched but still couldn't find what I was looking for. Despite the visual differences (if any) is there anything else notably different between the coupe and hatchback? More headroom, legroom, weight, etc.

Also: difference between the GT Sport and GT? What model did they come in? Coupe or hatchback, or both?

Thanks! I'm a little OCD when I'm interested in a car.

Yes you are right, first one coupe and second one hatchback (however somewhere you can find types named like coupe and liftback, because "hatchback" means in Europe and Japan something bit different... "hatchback" is for example Corolla body like this)

Now about types. I wrote this topic about that differences. There is also list of all known models and markets (so far for me wink.gif), I belive you can find answer there... (and maybe help me with that "mystery" biggrin.gif )

And I belive that info is not complete or not quite true... confused.gif see my post here... for example you have hatchback labeled GT... so I belive you have model code ST204L-BLMSKA (MTM) or ST204L-BLPSKA (ATM). Am I right? And If I am really right... than you don't have GT but ST...

Thanks, guys! Quick replies. In my search for Celicas I'll go this forum for wisdom. I think I like the hatchback more, but the first time I realize that the coupes had different tails they started to catch my eye more often.

I´ve never seen a 6th gen. coupe IRL before...over here, the hatchback is representing coupe (even in my pinkslip)...

I´ve seen one 5th gen coupe (by these standards) a couple of years ago, but it was kinda ugly...
