I just purchased 2 Spiral Max inserts for my Injen intake. I put them in yesterday and didn't notice much of a difference at first. I reset the computer and instantly noticed a difference when I took it out again. More power and torque. I even got pulled over by a concord cop. Guess I was having to much fun. I don't know about the gas mileage yet though.

I'll tell you this though. There is no more hesitation in the high RPM range.

Does anyone else have this product?

all of those things could be caused by resetting the fuel trims.

I thought the same thing at first, but I've reset my computer everytime I've added something and again recently before I added the Spiral Max.

It feels like a whole new car. It drives better and responds so much faster. Plus there is no hesitation in the RPM range.

Even with my exhaust and injen intake it still lagged from 5000-6200 rpms. Definately not now.

the car goes nuts when u reset the ecu....pm lewfx about the "power" when u reset your ecu, he either can explain it or will give u examples from him

o man, how did i get involved in this!
anytime you do anything to your intake system and leave the battery off or reset the ecu your car will fly for a day or two...its the feeling of a new car but after that it realizes that its a slower car then it thinks and it performs back to normal speed. if your spiral max keeps going for more than a week, let us know...maybe you found something we all havent...someone said the tornado works but maybe a 1/2 gain...just remember your car isnt as fast as we want it to be unless you pay over 2 grand to boost it. ive modified my injen as well but thats my lil secret.

Ok - first thing - I'm dieing to know what you did to your intake. What's that little secret? 2nd - I hope that these things last because i'm having a blast with the extra power gain and I've been driving it all day and the gas needle has barely moved. I'll tell you this if in a week it's still working then I'm buying some for my Eclipse GT too!
Plus if in a week it doesn't work i'll just return it with the money back guarentee.

when i removed my air box in the fender i got some 3 inch aluminum flex pipe..and ran iit from the front bumper throught the fender and connected it to where the air box in the fender connected to the air filter box and that just so happens to be where i have my heat sheild over it and all cool the air blows in it from me driving and i dont have a bad throttel response from have such a long intake pipe so its kinda like a cold air intake..prolly not much hp gain but i thought it couldnt hurt..also i noticed all day of driving my engin bay was hot as hell but my heat sheild was very cool so must have done something right..
call me lame if you want..but us celica owners try to squeez as much performance into our car as we can ya know..lol

your filter is gonna get air coming from all over anyways...now if you make a heat box for it then it might change things...
i couldnt do that setup since i got fogs.

what you cant see is that i have the aluminum going around the other side of the heat sheild to so it only getting hot air when im not moving when i do move it fills up with the cool air andim good to go..i didnt want to completely enclose for fear in lose of throttle respone...this was really kind of pointless though cuz ill be turboed by the end of the month
