Too many things it could be, check for play in the wheel and if the axle nut is tight and it has play the bearing is most likely the cause, although check it doesn't have play from the ball joint or tie rod.

Make sure you didn't under tighten the nut or over tighten is as it damages the bearing, torque it to 137ft from memory.

yea so i pulled the hub apart to get to the bearing and im quite certain there should be a plastic holder for the bearing correct? but the problem is is there is no more plastic holder thingy. on top of that bits and pieces of the plastic holder thing came out!

I don't know what you mean by plastic holder, in the middle of the hub is the bearing, with 2 seals on either sides, I assume you've taken the hub off but the best way to check is to move the flange (thing with wheel studs thats inside the hub) sometimes you can't tell theres play until you move that bit.

Ya I'm having the same problem currently, replaced the wheel hub and bearing along with a half shaft, but the noise is louder than before, I did make sure the axle nut was touqued to 137... My next thought is maybe the rotor is rubbing on the dust shield.

Could even be the gearbox, if there is no play anywhere under there and its too hard to find the noise put the car in the air and drive it, get near it and you will know tongue.gif.

i get a clinky noise when i turn left, because when i put a new wheel hub on i didnt tighten that bolt good enough so it had room to move and screwed me, so the 2nd time thought it was a bearing but no its the same damn thing..
