Warning: Rant
I've owned my car for about two years now and when i first bought it there were only a few minor scratches and a dent on the front driver's side quarter panel....a couple of weeks after i got it i drove down to my gf's apartment and she lives in an apartment bulding in Long Beach filled w/ college kids, i came out after leaving it parked for an hour to find three fist sized dents in the same fender that was already dented a little.. i got a fender from urbandork to take car of that fender though then one night a couple of months later i bumped into my friends car and dented my driver's side rear quarter panel... i was able to pop it out... but the next day a lady in a van opened her door as i was backing out of a parking space and hit it leaving a nice line all the way down to the metal about 3" long and reinstating the dent and then some, but she had wanted to make an ins. claim and i didn't want to raise my rates poss. for something that small when i might be partially at fault and theni had to get a new drivers side mirror because it looked like someone used mine for baseball practice then a dent on the front pass. fender under side marker... someone kicked it in real good..soccer practice this time perhaps and then the tail light last week that got busted by some juvenile delinquents in broad daylight... and then there's today i came out of class and drove home, and when walking around my car i saw a dent about 8" long and 2"deep and paint missing completely down to the metla in an area about 3"sq. on the pass. rear quarter panel easily $600 in damage.. i think it happened last night by a couple of kids that were trying to break into my friends truck but we caught and chased off.. i think they came back for revenge and my celi was the victim sorry for the long rant... just get angry and depressed when nothing i own seems to stay nice i really like my celica but i think it being red makes it a target for idiots to destroy it can't afford paint/bodywork right now evn if i did it myself there is no real time for me to do it arrggh!!! just needed to get that out -------------------- |

i agree, "pull me over red" is a crappy color. But often times, it looks the nicest when done right.

yeah, red could possibly be part of the attention-getting...but a celica in just about any color attracts attention imo...
I'm sorry, man. I bought my Celi and it had already been keyed, from the front of the driver side fender all the way to just past the side veiw mirror (the guy was a real nice guy, so I'm sure it's not from anyone he p'd off)...sometimes I wonder if stupid ppl looking to be a**holes and do some damage see that and go "man, someone already got this one!" and move on, lol -------------------- "I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D |
