I'm getting Eibach sportlines, they're on their way smile.gif
Ive used the search but Im still a little confused about what i need to do with aligning and camber.
So the generaly agreed on time to get an alignment is about a week after install?
And the alignment shop does not provide aftermarket camber kits?
Do I only need a Kit for the front or for all 4 corners?
And if I do need to get a kit myself which is the best, is quality an issue?

Ebay
Tirerack
Toyotaworld

I hope you can make sense of what I'm askin, If not i can clarify

You don't need a camber kit.

i got an alighnment the day after my springs and struts were installed. they only had an issue with one wheel where the camber was already to full tolerance and couldnt be adjusted. it should be fine but if i want it adjusted better i just need different camber bolts...

in other words my opinion is to install the springs and get it alightned first, if they have a problem and can't adjust your camber properly then get the bolts. theyre just bolts, it shouldn't really matter what kind you get

it does matter what kind, grade 5 bolts off the shelf of a hardware store dont have the sheer strenght needed. you need grade 8 or grade 10 metric. 8.8 metric is the same as standard grade 5.

No they are not "just bolts"! They are special offset bolts. Straight bolts are what is in there stock. The offset is what makes them adjustable so you can correct your camber.

lol...sorry for causing such a stir....

by "theyre just bolts, it shouldn't really matter what kind you get" i meant it doesnt really matter if you get them from TireRack or Toyota.

put in the springs, get it aligned, if theres a problem aligning it they will tell you and you can get the camber bolts from wherever you like. if you get the alignment from a place like Sears that warranties it you can buy the camber bolts and bring it back to them and they'll re-align it for you at no extra charge.

Ok... Just gotta look out for people that don't know any better ya know. We don't want guys sticking bolts in there and wondering why they have bald inner tires 3 months down the road.

Also yeah it doesn't matter where you get them because there are only a couple companies that make them and Toyota and tirerack (for example) buys from them.

I'll tell ya once more to save you $70! You do not need a camber kit if you lower your car with Eibach springs. Our cars have enought camber adjustment to handle that much of a drop. I have run my springs without a camber kit, had it aligned for over 2 years now, on the same pair of tires. No abnormal wear. Once again do a search, You do not need a camber kit, but if you want to throw away $70 for nothing go ahead.

I had the same problem. Only it did matter and now that tire wears on the inside more than the others. Installed the springs at 50K at Toyota and used their Laser alignment setup (thanks Saynug). Still problems. Oh well. Guess it depends on the car.

if you're just out to have the wheels aligned, don't buy anything. just go to a shop and have them do an alignment.

the "camber bolts, "camber kits," and anything else mildly associated are a waste of money. they're basically crash bolts...which are slightly smaller shank than the stock ones allowing more alignment options for the wheel after crash damage has occurred.

the only reason anyone should want those would be a desire for excessive negative camber for track or autocross racing, but definately not your daily driver.

i think you already got plenty of help, i just don't want to see anyone waste their money on these.
