well finally. after 8 months of work.
its time to get painted...
some of you MAY remember what happened, some of you might not.
early january this year, i got in a car wreck with and illegal immigrant.
going 15 MPH on the Interstate 17 on my way home from work, he randomly slams on his brakes, and i rear end him. Being here illegally in the states, the wreck will not be on my record, insurance did not go up because they would not cover it. Every repair was out of pocket. And done at home except for the bentframe work, which was done at a body shop.
Finding out to be cheaper to buy a body kit, fenders, and a carbon fiber hood then buying stock parts, thats what i did. started late february on the project. remocing all the damaged parts, fxing what could be fixed, and trashing what could not. finally after 2 months of back order on the fenders, all the parts got shipped out. once recieved, it took me and my father awhile to get everything perfect. Neither of us having ANY automobile repair history, we went at it. learning alot on the way to what we have ended up with. it was a long path but well worth the wait. Now waiting for the body shop to call me back saying the car is ready to be picked up after a nice all black paint job. smile.gif

(sorry these pictures are craaaap, with camera phone. i have many in progress pictures somewhere from my camera, and once the car is back ill take some with the new paint smile.gif )

thanks for all the help from everyone with my questions. its been a long journey, and we have learned alot. now we need another project, besides the fiberglass enclosure we are working on smile.gif

thanks again to everyone that helped.
