i think the real problem with the safc is that it was never really designed to do the type of tuning people are trying to use it for. if you install it on a factory stock motor and make a few tweaks hear and there, you will probably have good luck with it.... but if you are making 2x the power the stock ecu was ever ment to deal with, along with injectors that are almost twice the size, and a map sensor that reads 2x the pressure, then a simple hack job safc will not be able to fool the ecu into doing what needs to be done.

thats exactly it in a nutshell, art.
its like trying to control a forestfire with a garden hose...lol
john..
i know what your getting at,..what im saying is, its already wired into my map sensor, and is controlling fuel my maniulating that signal...
at this point, i just cant wait to get the 'ultimate, and rip that damn SAFC out. laugh.gif

Hey Pressure, are you tunning via the wideband bung in your downpipe or by using a pyrometer in one of the runners?

Is tunning from the downpipe accurate? or is it same as an EGT gauge where the readings are better from the manifold because the gasses are hotter there and you would get at better idea if your running rich. opposed to the DP where it might be too late because the gasses are cooler by then?

Im really interested in the system you got there and wanted to know a little more about it. thanks! smile.gif

na, you cant put the wideband that close to the head.
its in my downpipe, about 16-20" away from the turbo (too much heat is bad for it)
the wideband has nothing to do with how much heat is in there, it strictly measures air/fuel ratio.
egt is a completely diffrent thing, it measures how hot your exhaust gas temp is, thats why you want it so close to the head, so that you get as good an idea as you can of what is going on in the cylinders.
