kinda random but since you guys were talking about joyriding....
i had to get my car fixed a while back and there were about 5+ miles on the odometer afterwards. i didnt think it was a big deal, but since u guys mention it. do you think ppl "joyrode" my car? i got it fixed @ darcars toyota collision i figured it was reasonable that they had to move my car around a bit...but not so many miles worth...but i didnt think it too much This post has been edited by Toyoca: Sep 11, 2006 - 12:14 PM |

I know after i got my new engine installed, that there were about 7 added miles to the guage...I asked him about it and he said it was just him testing it out and what not. He had made a log of everytime he drove the car and what all he was checking for each time he did it....I wouldnt worry about it too much, i dont think its "joy riding"

I work at an automotive shop here in Baton Rouge. You have to test drive the cars after your done working on it to make sure everything works fine. I'll work on a car and then go pick up lunch with it as im test driving it. A mechanic cant just fix something then park the car for you to pick up.

as i said on the previous page (my reply got buried), they probably just knocked a sensor or vac line loose when they were masking and working.
i suspect that MAP sensor vac line, i recently knocked mine loose and had similar symptoms. -------------------- |
