yea it was a bit pricey... but I was willing to pay the price for the VW loyalty... I could have gotten an STI, or a 350Z, or a used R32... but dammit VW why'd the GTI have to appeal so much to me??? bastards!

Agreed on the rims. The R had 23k+ Miles and they were still asking for $28k. Besides the R isn't much faster at all than the GTI.

yea the r32 is really over rated....its heavy, the awd system blows, and the v6 doesnt put out enough.....better choice with the gti but......fwd?

FWD FTW! lol, j/k. Yea I know, I'll be honest, my GTI really isnt fast at all... Its got good acceleration, but mostly the "Fun-Factor" that got me. Think about it 6 gears, and torque is that at 2k rpm. There are so many cars out there built for speed, but I'd like to see those cars in the everyday driving situations. I drive the 405 daily (those of you from so cal know what I mean). Its a moving parking lot.

ewww the 405 yeah...i know what you mean(where you live?)....id chill out on the mods tho..i used to work for vw they dont like mods too much and will void your warranty fast

but if you do mod...check out abd racing..i got a few buddies over there

although last friday my mkiv Getta pulled on one

i do have to say after driving the GTI its much nibbler and easier to toss around then my mkiv so i'm very jealous...but MKiv is life

but keep up the good work bro glad to see the dub is comin along nicely!

just stay away from the K04 and get a gt28rs, or a T3/T4
