depends on the runner lengths and and other factors, you cant just unilaterally say one is better than the other.

True, but 4-2-1 is almost always better. That counts especially for our cars. But a longer length 4-1 would give better performance than a 4-2-1. Or if the quality of the 4-1 was higher than the 4-2-1. But if equal quality, the 4-2-1 is almost always better. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Depends on where you want your power. 4-1's are usually better for High RPM gains... which would be pointless on an engine like a 5S-FE that has a head design that has no breath up top. Plus there are so many other things that factor into it... but personally I'd go with a 4-2-1 setup on any american model celica. Heck, dropping that extra 40 or so pounds off the nose of the car from that cast iron log manifold is worth it. Couple that with a battery relocation and the front of your celica will go from German Broad sword to Italian Sabre. |

I also have a wrapped header on mine with CAI. I have felt every step that I have taken from the CAI to header to wrapped header. It does the 7AFE good plus gets some attention. Also if you are up for it you could go muffler-less like Bitter or like me just put in a hi-flow cat and straight through muffler. As for brand of header there are some on eBay but they are all copies of a Corolla header and they have to be either bent on the bottom end or addapted to fit a Celica. I will warn you though do not get a crome one off of eBay because they are cheaply done and will rust quick. Get a stainless steel or a raw one and have it coated. btw, the ebayheader is a clone of a bunch of others (which cost between $150 and $300) which looks alot like a 4age 20 valve stock header that ive seen once.

Well right now where im sitting I have a SRI (that has a large duct leading from the outside to the filter element) and a 2.25 custom catback with a straight thru muffler so im pretty interested in a header now. looks like ebays gonna be one of my best bets... do you guys have a specific ebay seller to recommend? And how much was the wrap?
