Hey guys, another question. To make the story short, I needed to clean my air filter, because of a certain emergency. So after I cleaned my K&N Air filter (air filter from an intake SRI) I installed it again into the tube. Stupid me, I forgot to "uber tighten it. After a highway run, (20 miles about 30 minutes) I came home parked the car and looked into the engine. The filter was off X_x. So basically I probably drove half of the time with thefilter off, meaning my engine was sucking air with crap in it. X_x anyway its fine right now... should I be worried X_____X? Because I already am and just trying to find some opinions to lessen my worries.

It won't hurt for short times. Longer runs in dusty weather can cause build up on sensors, the intake and maybe the cylinder and piston surfaces. Don't worry just try to remember next time.

Aight thanks man.
It's because my Overflow Tube blew up and started spraying coolant all over my engine bay. I probably sucked in coolant X_x but im pretty sure not for so long. thats what happened with the "My air filter fell off after I cleaned it".. Anyway the area the coolant sprayed on turned white on the K&N filter? Is that another cause for concern, or did the coolant just made the red color of the filter faded? Just tryin to see everyones opinion thanks again to those who IMed me the answer (opinion) |
