damn im new here and cant figure out how to post the right way lol but anyways here it is againe
Hey Ice im new here but if been reading most of the posts here about the 5sgte. I have wanted to do it for the while and have most the parts, 5s block, 5s crank, 3sgte rods. one thing im trying to figure out is about the pistons. i Know that CP makes 87.5 mm forger 5s pistons with a 3sgte design and my question is will these 5s pistons fit onto the 3sgte rods, or do i need to have them machined? Also about the crank it needs tp be grinded off about .177 to fit the 3sgte rods and griding off that much will weeken the crank alot as i was told by my machine shop teacher. do i need to get the crank cryogeniclly treated so its stonger? if so where can i get that done at? |
