Which Toyota Oil Filter?, 90915-YZZF2 or 90915-YZZF1 Options

So I went and changed my oil today on my 5SFE and bought a Toyota oil filter 90915-YZZF2 since that is what was recommended on Toyota World Oil Filter Application Chart. However, when I looked closer at my oil filter that Toyota put on last time when I took it in for them to change, they put on the 90915-YZZF1 filter and looking at the application list that is on the 3SGTE engines and 2ZZGE engines.

Anyways, both of them thread in perfectly well but the F1 is quite a bit larger in length than the F2. Just wondering if you guys use Toyota oil filters and if so, were you aware that both fit and that the F1 was significantly larger. Also, do you guys use the F1 and should I start using it instead of the F2?

I guess the other thing, any other filters that you guys are using that you recommend. In case you are wondering I am running Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10W30, recommedations on a filter with that oil?

with the larger filter you'll be able to run a longer oil change interval and possibly have the oil filtered at higher rpms due to the larger filter capacity.

I do mobil-1 10w30 Apr-Novish and 5w30 for the winter.

Use the larger filter, it will help filter the oil a little better
