So i was driving today hoping what i fixed was a done deal. For those that don't know here the post. I found where it was burning from and its the white wire from the cruise control box. Now would it be the cruise control box shorting itself or what? Also my cluster says that my cruise control was on and i try turning it off it wont. I traced the white wire from the cruise control box and it leades to the big huge fuse box with a bunch of wires on the driver kick panel. Whats your opinion on shorting? o btw when i disconnect the cruise control box it works perfect, but if i put it bak on it'll start smoking my whole car.

a short circuit in the wiring or the unit itself.

how do i go by testing it? like turn on the car while the box is plugged in and put the multimeter on the wire?
