GT and GT-S Options

this has been discussed a few times before. The general concensis is that it is not about having all of the options, it's that the GT-S has the sport suspension package.

I have seen the GT-S in Nebraska. Although it could be imported it seems like a lot of work to import and plate a vehicle in Nebraska just to have a few more options...

so far, all the GT-S models i've looked at had most of the good stuff, like leather, abs, a/c, sunroof, sport suspension and 8 spkr system.

the GT models had them as options i guess. for example, my sister's GT has no leather, 4 spkr stereo, no a/c, no abs but has a sunroof.

GT-S Celicas do not come standard with all of the optional items (i.e. sunroof, leather)

I still belive GT-S celicas were made for US market too... I also belive difference between GT and GT-S celica is just in Toyota specification of grade (one is ST and second one is GT). That means you can find sunroof, ABS, leather seats in GT and also in GT-S... Question is what is that "sport package"... Better brakes? Is there anyone else who wants post info like this. I belive we can solve this GT/GT-S difference . So let's proof (or ruin) my theory

all GT-S:
has ABS
has rear disc brakes
may have sun roof
may have 6-8 speakers
may have leather interior

all GT has:
no ABS
rear drum brakes
may have sun roof
may have 6-8 speakers
may have leather interior

...dunno how recognise difference in suspension

GT's came with ABS as an option.

you have convertible, right? And you have ABS and both rear disc brakes (so rear too), right?
You know I belive you have, because you have this model:
2.2 GT Convertible
produced: 08/94 - 05/99
model: ST204L-BKMGKA (MTM), ST204L-BKPGKA (ATM)
engine: 5S-FE, 135BHP
more info: all models LHD

...and in my theory all convertibles was same like GT-S coupes/hatchbacks . So... so far good .

Hmm... more info from more members needed (every US convertible has all disc brakes and no ABS?). Only one chance is collect more info about that... there must be some key.

on gt's abs wass an option. not standard. lmao and the wierdest thing, my chassis code dosent say st-204C

USDM CVT was just ST204L-BKPGKA or ST204L-BKMGKA and VIN started with JT5ST07K or JT5FG02T . If not there are mistakes in TOYOTA EPC
