Where can I get the clips to hold down the rubber gasket around headlights? It seems I'm missing some.

toyota doesn't sell those little clips individually. I've tried it already. I think you have to end up buying the headlights again or hit up a junkyard.

i used some emblem glue n just glued the gasket around mine - i plan to get projectors some enough after i get my engine in so if ya still need/want clips then id give em to ya =)

mine were loose too...

i used some silicon seal in place to hold them in.

Yeah I used silicone sealing stuff on mine as well. I think it's better than using a strong glue because it holds well and it could be removed pretty easily if you ever need to.

silicone for me too.
the clips are total rubbish and I can't believe toyota would use something so pathetic when they could easily be glued on in the factory. maybe they planned on selling loads on new rubbers/headlight units as spares after the originals failed? who knows. |

I used black gaffers tape (black duct tape thats not as sticky)..... and thats after i used to place a small nugget of paper towel placed right on the rubber so the hood would pin it against and hold it there. Creative or lazy... Maybe I'll take a few foot steps and grab the epoxy or glue out of the drawer...
