ive heard the stock w2a on the 3rd gen 3s is capaple of handling upwards of 400hp. so since your keeping it stock, id stick with eh w2a intercooler since its very efficient. and like celica47 said, it will have better response since there is less volume past the compressor. only reason id get a fmic is if you like the look, but personally id rather go with the sleeper look without it.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

The stock ST205 top mount has similar performance (both in efficiency and flow) to most upgraded side-mount intercoolers for the MR2. Many MR2 guys want the ST205 intercooler as an upgrade. If you are staying under 350hp, the only reason you would want to get rid of it is for simplicity or weight. Remember that you have to bypass a few sensors and the pump in the wiring harness to keep the ECU happy if you get rid of the AWIC.

Looks great, looks stock and you don't have to cut up the front of you car to get an intercooler up there.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
