Over the last eighteen months or so, I've lost 25 lbs. through eating and drinking more healthily and excercising more often.

Over the last couple months I've kind of been stuck at more or less the same weight. I'm really hoping to lose just a few more pounds, but I keep having difficulty because of my sweet tooth...donuts, Twizzlers, and chocolate chip cookie dough blizzards are my weaknesses. tongue.gif I find it incredibly hard to resist them, probably since I've craved sweets for as long as I can remember. I can often resist them for a couple days, but end up giving in and buying junk food and eating it.

Anyone have any good tips for me to overcome my sweet tooth?

No. I used to be overweight...now I'm pretty happy with the way I am, but I want my six-pack to show through from behind the fat. smile.gif

just do a lot of running or something aerobic. i found that was the easiest way to get my hidden six-pack to be more visible.

+1

if you do a lot of aerobic exercise, it also gets your metabolism up through the roof.... I took a weight lifting class last year, and i did a crap load of aerobic excersise... at least a half hour every day, then I went and did lunges w/ weights, and just weight lifted and stuff... I entered the class weighing a good 140 pounds, by the middle of the class I was down to 130, then down to the end of it I was close 125. i toned up quite nicely lol

but yeah if you do a lot of aerobic stuff you can eat all the crap ya want and not havta worry about gaining... smile.gif at least thats how it is for me... I love my pizza... I'll eat an entire pizza by myself in one sitting, and not gain a pound because my metabolism is crazy fast

gah i need to get my ass back in the gym... im so lazy now lol >_<

dude you sound like me -_-. I was losing weight, but after I stopped working as many hours so I could go to college. I've put on a few pounds smile.gif. I'm still happy with my size, but I'd like to tone up aswell, but it is hard to not eat when your studying and doing homework. I will win the war with my weight thou. I'm starting to study on campus and staying away from home as much because my parents aren't much help. They fail to realize that their weight is a huge problem and refuse to do anything about it.

i agree with the whole running thing.

if you have a sweet tooth the only way you'll over come it is will power. there is no trick to stop eating junk food so building a solid metabolism is your best bet.

the more sweets you eat, the more you will crave them. its kind of like a drug addiction. stop eating sugar for about a week or two, and you'll soon noticed that you no longer crave it.

I have a sweet tooth too. I just have a little and it satisfies the craving. My personal favorite are those little minature Reese's peanut butter cups. One of those a day isn't going to hurt ya!

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

I don't know if someone mentioned this or not, but just try and replace the sweets with something else. I used to drink soda a lot, Mountain Dew to be specific, and I ended up addicted to it and would end up with caffeine headaches if I didn't have atleast like 5 a day. I didn't like how it was going so I started drinking water, and soda, and eventually found myself not getting headaches and actually feeling a lot better about myself. Now I just drink a lot of water...oh and im by no means fat. 5'5-5'6 and like 120lbls

Yeah hitcachi, mines real quick too and it'll eventually catch up. Luckily I have until im about 40 before it starts to kick in.

if my weight goes up, its in muscle, so i hover around 145... and ppl tell me to eat more cause i look skinny!
yet im toned.... i know cause a friend of mine, her mom always makes me flex and show her my stomach..
its funny!
