what those things claim to do is to add 20hp but all it really is, is just a small little fan that you put in-line with your intake and ground it then hook it up to your battery. They even give you a switch to toggle it off and on. When you get it the package claims that this "mod" adds 20+hp. And also that it uses only 5 amps of power and get this, it produce so much power that it produces 500 cfm of airflow at only 5 amps of battery power. A T78 turbo uses about 100 amps of power and produces about 950 cfm or so depending on the boost. So thing about it, what they are trying to say is at 10 amps of power you can get 1000cfm of airflow. I think not. Also to make matters worse, when you are at idle the "mod" is still forcing all that air into your car. And there is no protection to stop those little plastic fan blades from breaking off and going into your engine. I don't know about anyone else but I would rather pay the money for a real turbo or a real ECU mod from JET or somewhere like that. Than have to risk ruining my engine and end up having to buy a new engine because there is plastic in it or pay a mechanic to get it out. And probably end up buying a turbo anyway cuz the 4 dollar mod didn't work. That's my $.02 Decide for yourself.

a friend of mine rigged up a system like this on his 93 eclipse.... It actually did work a little better than before... but I agree with igotta on this one... that would do some damage if it got into ur engine..... granted it would burn off if it was a plastic fan but would still make ur engine run like **** for a while... if the engine even survived.

I ordered the mod you are talking about. Don't do it. It does nothing for your car. All it is, is a wire that you rig into you intake air temperature sencer. It does nothing.

you always get what you pay for, and there are alot of hoaxes on ebay, like the one that tricks your sensor into thinking that colder air is coming in-give me a break. IMO its a waste of money and could be a huge waste of money if it blew your engine

I heard it was just a resistor you put in and that's all.

If this is the same thing from awhile back, all it does is trick your ecu into being at full throttle or something similar...which makes it "seem" like you are getting more power, when all you are doing is wasting gas.

I can sell you a brick you attach to your right foot for $10, free shipping.

You are bidding on one performance modification and the winner will get a second one Free with the highest bid or the BUy iT NoW option. Part and easy to follow instructions are included with all modifications. Part is a resistor chip that will modify your AIR/Fuel ratio and advance your engine timing to run stronger and increased your car or trucks power. This modification will modify your stock ECU system with a resistor. This mod tells your ECU that the air coming in through the intake is cold air this advances the timing, letting the engine produce more power. Release the HorsePower of your engine. This generic modification is a fraction of the cost of those expensive ECU upgrades, is extremely easy to install and does the same thing adds UP TO 20 HP! Actual Horse Power gain will very depending on engine size and other factors.

THIS IS NOT A FAN!! Jigga and Remjay are absolutly correct. All this is is a resistor that actually does trick the engine. I would suppose that if your car was running 700 horses, maybe it would give you a +20 increase. The reason why it is so cheap is because that is probably what it costs at radio shack. And, even though it is 0.35, it really isn't something anyone should care about.

Finally, if you actually thought putting a plastic fan into an engine to boost airflow is a good idea...YOU ARE AN IDIOT mad.gif Acutally, you are a disgrace to all idiots. In fact, you would be so idiotic I would have to make a new word for your incompitance. how about RETARDIOT. maybe it is different in eclipses though rolleyes.gif
