My antenna is broken and i dont know whats wrong. I think the motor is just totally taken out. I cant move the antenna above the first segment but can move down without any problems. There is also a cord in the trunk near the antenna that is connected to nothing giving me the impression that the motor is missing. Does anyone know what is wrong or how to fix it?

Don't worry about the antennae...I bet like 70% of the people on this site have antennae problems like that...Just replace the antennae and you'll be fine

I pretty much had the same problem as you have. When I turned the car on or off, all I could hear was the antenna motor wanting to work but just makes a horrible, annoying noise. What I did is I unplugged the motor and then did a S2000 antenna convertion. There's a how-to article on this on this site. I went by it, and I had no problems. I think it looks better cause there is no big-ass, metal antenna sticking up like 10ft in the air anymore. Obviously, 10ft is exaggerating, but you know what I mean.

Theres a small plastic cog in the motor unit that wears smooth and causes the aerial problem. Why didn't they make it out of metal? mad.gif

Dont sweat it over the antenna. Go out and get yourself a S2000 antenna. Either from your Honda dealership or Ebay. Simple and a very nice "how-to" article on this page.
