Anyone here relocated the battery to their trunk or someplace else in the engine? Where can I find how to do this? I know that Summit Racing has kits to relocate the battery to the trunk ($40). I want to see if i could relocate the battery because i believe that it will be better for the intake system.

i dont know how it'll be better for the intake system but the engine bay will look cleaner.

i plan on doing it in the eclipse as soon as the kit comes in.

its just better weight distribution. plus if you have some subs then you can run shorter power wires.

edit: I wouldnt say this is engine/performance either. more like interior/audio/wiring/electrical.

It'll be better for the intake system, that way you can relocate your fuse box to where the battery used to be, and then route a pipe down and get cold air. I didn't relocate my battery, but if I did, my custom cold air intake would have been easier.
