Yeah, i get the same kind of popping/clicking sound from my front left axle.....im pretty sure its my c/v joint though. Does anybody know how much it costs to fix the c/v joint? Also, will the replacement last long, becuase my cousin is a mechanic and sems to think that the best route to go is by replacing the axle, since theres a seam on the new c/v joint cover that will eventually rust......someone gimme some input on this.

I agree that a new axle is best. You can get one at autozone or whatever and it should cost less than 90$. And if you've got the extra cash, just go ahead and get a new axle for the other side too(although it's not needed),it might save you some trouble later.

Yea, a CV boot and axle are about the same price. And if your boot has been punctured for some reason you might as well replace the whole axle because if anything got in there then your axle is gonna blow out pretty soon.
