well, beeing working on the Wastegate and exhaust setup, got it mocked with rusty old pipe from my dads old exhaust lol. now i need to purchase some nice piping to make the final fit.
Polished up the RMR, holset comp side, and apexi bov with some jewelers polish i picked up at a world of wheels car show. they look pretty shinny now Started pinning the wiring harness and painted the hard plastic covers on the wires. This week should be pretty productive im hoping. time is catching up with me now :x -------------------- |

got the fuel line all set. but as a whole im still far from done id like to say i was closer but you forget about all the small things when i generalize and say its close lol. like re wiring the harness and re-pinning it. or setting up vacuum lines, water lines attaching crap to the firewall. slower but surely, something about a turtle winning a race. -------------------- |

sure thing ill post pics when i get home. i was suckered into buying some metal polish at a car show, this guy polished the dome on the underside of a soda can and it looked like a mirror so needless to say i was amazed and ended up buying some. so i went on a polishing excursion lol. it came with a sealer polish also that when he put water on the dome it didn't want to stick at all, says the sealer um... seals it for up to a year and thats against most chemicals, water even anti freeze. but we'll see if it can take the temps of the engine bay. well see what happens.

from that to this, pretty good i say. lotta work i gave up getting in the small crevasses but the silicon coupler that holds the filter on will cover that anyways wow a flash really brings out the residue sealer wax that needs to be taken off. -------------------- |

What ive been up to
downpipe is almost complete still waiting on the top and bottom vband flanges to welt to it. thats why it was ghetto held up in the pics. added some ebay bolt kit for the valve cover and other stuff. got a 4" silicone coupler for the filter painted the engine bay and started to tuck things like the air bag controller box and random brackets or w/e not going crazy with it just trying to clean it up some. oh and that bracket going to the turbo from the head will have another bracket along side it going to the ring along the exhaust side coming from the other ear on the head. so it will be kinda symmetrical lol This post has been edited by x_itchy_b_x: Feb 18, 2007 - 1:31 AM -------------------- |

QUOTE(presure2 @ Feb 18, 2007 - 12:57 PM) nice work john! good idea for the turbo stay, like dan said. i like it! is the DP stainless? or are you planning on having it coated or somthing? yeah i saw a similar bracket on mr2oc. I wanna support that thing any way i can. we are also bracket that goes from the block to the underside of the turbo. oh and the DP is stainless along with the v-band hardware, ceramic coated would be nice know any one local? QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Feb 20, 2007 - 12:00 AM) You're going to run and EMS and keep the dist? Out of curiosity, why? i havent really looked into what i would need to run coil over plug setup. i realize the stock ignition isnt the best setup, but im hoping it will perform satisfactory. if not id have no choice it seems. -------------------- |
